Vikings come up short to Midland

The Vikings returned home for the start of a short two game homestand after Thanksgiving. First up, was a tough test against sixth ranked Midland College.
It was a bit of a slow start for the Vikings, with Midland jumping out to an early lead. While the Vikings got to the free throw line, they didn't connect on their first field goal for the first 4:13 of the game on a Jordan Williams floater in the lane to tie things up at 4. It was a very contested opening period, with neither team able to gain an advantage. Both Grayson and Midland led by no more than three in the opening 20 minutes of play, with the Vikings taking a 34-32 lead into the locker room at the half.
In the second half, Midland outscored Grayson 46-24 as the Vikings fell 78-58.
Julian Greer led the team with 17 points and seven rebounds, while Dupree Fletcher Jr added 14, and was the team leader in assists with three. Both him and Judah Peña had three steals each for Grayson. Davion Hampton had 10 points off the bench.
