Southwestern Christian shot 50 percent from long range, as the Vikings fell 80-55 in their NTJCAC Conference opener on Wednesday, Jan. 7.
The Vikings got behind by double digits, but never gave up. Caleb Alcineus jump started an 8-2 run late in the first half, scoring five straight by himself to pull the Vikings within 38-26 at the half.
In the second half, all active players scored at least once but the Vikings were unable to mount a comeback.
Dupree Fletcher Jr (12 points) and Julian Greer (11 points) each led the team in scoring.
The Vikings will return home to start a three game homestand, beginning Saturday, Jan. 10 taking on Strength N Motion. Tip-off is set for 2pm.
