The Vikings drive to the hoop against Hill

Four Vikings players scored in double figures and the Vikings rode a high scoring first half to remain undefeated with a 91-56 victory over Hill on Saturday, Jan. 31.
The opening tip was controlled by No. 21 Grayson and Fia Filoialli took advantage, hitting a three on the first possession for the 3-0 lead. The Vikings maintained a slim lead at 8-6 as the quarter progressed and Hill's offense began to get going. The Vikings went on a 10-1 lead to take a double digit lead. Susan Fahnbulleh hit a three during the run and the Vikings took a big 29-17 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The offense kept their foot on the gas. Madison Martin beat the shot clock with a layup and the Vikings in the blink of an eye were on a 20-4 run. Jaycee Ingram had a big three, Fahnbulleh hit another three and the Vikings used some suffocating defense, limiting Hill to just six points in the quarter as they took a commanding 51-23 lead into the locker room. Dree Johnson capped the big quarter with a turnaround jumper.
Madison Martin gave the Vikings their biggest lead at 30 points with a three pointer in the early stages of the third quarter. Hill's offense hit some shots, but the Vikings had an answer, maintaining their commanding lead throughout the remainder of the game. Iv Jackson's layup extended the lead to 82-47 and the Vikings cruised, winning 91-56, their largest margin of victory since they defeated Southwest Christian by 36 points in the conference opener.
Ingram and Tay Biglow both led with 17 points, Fahnbulleh had 16 points and Martin finished with 14 points. Biglow also dished out seven assists, while Dree Johnson finished with a team leading six rebounds.
The win keeps the Vikings undefeated in conference play with a 5-0 record, while sitting at 15-2 overall.
Grayson will remain on the road, traveling to Weatherford on Monday, Feb. 2, in a makeup game, rescheduled from Jan. 24 due to the winter storm. Tip-off is set for 5pm.
